ARE YOU?

Who are you? This must be a common question

For you and me.

Did we become the person we needed to be?

We breathe in the air

Of self-importance,

Often belittle others in false vanity,

Defaming our cultural ethics,

Relinquishing humility, compassion, and humanity.

Who are you? Just a runner in a blind race

After lust, power, and money?

How oblivious you look

To your brothers' screams

In hunger, thirst, and heart-wrenching agony!
